Girgaon Chowpatty Beach is one of the most famous public beaches adjoining Marine Drive in the Girgaum area of Mumbai, India. Girgaum / Girgaon Chowpatty Beach Located in the south of Mumbai, next to Charni Road station on the western line.
Girgaum is the name of one of the old Mumbai location’s which was the only place during the time for beachside hangouts. It is one of the oldest beaches in Mumbai. Now the beach is quite crowded been one of the famous tourist attractions surrounded by famous branded stores and eateries in Mumbai.
This beach connects to Nariman point’s Queen’s Necklace which is easily seen. And for these special view people around world prefers to visit the seaside during nights. It is quite well known for its Ganpati immersion (Visarjan) during the Ganesh festival. During the Ganpati Visarjan, millions of people come on the last day (10th day) to see the immersion.
There are several stalls that sell sweetmeats, snacks and other refreshments here. The beach also has an adjoining park for senior citizens. Out of all of Mumbai’s beaches, Chowpatty Beach seems to be the most well-maintained.
