Vengurla is known for its Sagareshwar beach and cashew nuts. Driving on the way to Shiroda from Vengurla just turn to the right at Ubhadanda. You will see the huge stretch of shiny silvery sand dunes. By trampling the sand under the foot, a short walk, climbing the sand dunes and lo behold you are at the sparkling beach, clean with white sands and deep blue water of Sagreshwar.
A small temple of Sagareshwara (Lord of the Sea) is situated on the beach. Towards the north end of the beach is that hillock with the lighthouse, from here you can get the great view of the sea and small islands in it. The beach offers great privacy at the same time it is close to Goa. So if you want some buzz and a lot of peace then this can be a great destination to be clubbed with Goa.
