The Siddhivinayak temple is the Third Ganesha temple to be visited during the Asthavinayak Darshan tour. The idol here is “Swayambhu”. three feet tall, facing north with his trunk turned right. This is the only Ashtavinayaka shrine where the deity has his trunk to the right. idol is Gajmukh, however, beilly of the idol is not big.
The Siddhivinayak is considered an especially powerful deity. It is believed that Siddhivinayak leads work to the completion. Also, It is supposed to be a Jagrut place of Shree Ganesh.
Legend of Siddhivinayak Temple
Siddhivinayak is said to have come to the aid of Mahavishnu as he was engaged in a long battle with the demons Madhu and Kaitabha. Lord Vishnu got Siddhi as such Ganesh idol here is called as Siddhivinayak.

Architecture of Siddhivinayak Temple
The place next idol was made by Ahilya Bai Holkar. The amazing thing about these place is it is so silenced that even the river Bhima, when flooded, doesn’t make any noise, which states the depth of the river. This place is now covered by water. The road leading to the main temple was built by Peshwa’s Senapati Haripant Phadke.
Siddhivinayak Temple is built by the Ahilyabai Holkar. which is fifteen feet high & ten feet broad. shree Sidhivinayak placed in a brass frame, the deity is flanked by the idols of Jay and Vijay on both sides. Also, Riddhi & Siddhi are sitting on one lap of Siddhivinayak. Besides, the temple houses the idols of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. In the sanctum itself, there is a Shivapanchayatan & goddess Shivai’s small temple. Also, The temple constructed in black stone – faces north. Nagarkhana on the main gate was built in memory of Shree Haripant Phadke.
Daily Schedule in Siddhivinayak Temple
The temple opens daily at 4 AM. Saharan Puja is carried out from 4:30 am to 5 am. The deity is offered Khichadi at 10 AM.
Also, Panchamriti Puja is performed at 11 am. and the Mahabhog is offered at 12:30 pm and the third puja starts after sunset.
The Dhooparti is carried out from 8:30 pm to 9:15 pm and the temple is then closed.
Festivals in Siddhivinayak Temple
The temple celebrates three main festivals. The Ganesh Chaturthi festival is celebrated from the first to the fifth day of the Hindu month of Bhadrapada.
Celebrations are the Ganesh Chaturthi, are held during the months of Magh, from the Pratipada to Panchami of the waxing period of the moon. In these days, after the Mahapuja and Mahabhog, a procession of the palkhi is carried in the evening from 8 pm. Besides, Bhajans are sung and Dhooparti and Shejarti are held.
Siddhivinayak Temple will be visited by thousands of people during the annual Temple festivals of Ganesh Chaturthi, Vijayadashami and Somvati Amavasya.
