Erangal a very scenic village is the most prominent village on Madh Island Beach. Villagers from Erangal are mostly doing farming for generations. Attraction on Madh Island Beach is the Madh Fort also called Versova fort. It is believed that this fort was built by the Portuguese as a watchtower and later used as a training camp for cadets. The church of St. Bonaventure dating back to the 16th century is another spectacular Portuguese structure situated close to the beach.
